Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Sterling all-terrain tow bar on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Now there's five main components that are required for flat towing any vehicle, and we'll break those down. The first one is gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna structurally mount to the frame of the vehicle, and create a mounting point not only for your tow bar, but the rest of the components. So our tow bar is going to be the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And also going from the base plate to the hitch is gonna be our safety cable. So just like you'd hook up to a trailer, you wanna make sure you have those cables in place just in case of that disconnect. more

RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar Installation - 2018 Toyota Tacoma- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be installing Roadmaster's Falcon All Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bars, part number RM-522. This is going to be a premium tow bar set. On this end, it's going to come with a quick-disconnect arm that's going to work with all Roadmaster base plates. What really makes these premium is their non-binding levers. Some tow bars don't have this feature and when you're at an RV park with uneven ground, they can bind and make it very difficult to disconnect it from your vehicle. With these, you simply pull the lever and it releases the tension on the arm allowing it to disconnect very easily.There's also channels that run down the length of the arm to hold up your cables and keep everything nice and neat. more
